Dimapur, July 27 (MExN): The inaugural Nagaland Pickleball Masters 2026 concluded at The Fitness House in Dimapur after three days of competition, with players from across the country competing in eight categories.
The tournament, held from July 24 to 26, concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Advisor for Agriculture and MLA Mhathung Yanthan as the chief guest.

In the marquee Men’s Doubles Open category, Aditya Singh and Megotsolie Khate defeated Mayank SD and Zhaputso Khate in the final to lift the title.
Racheal Jones and Elona Ayemi won the Women’s Doubles Open title, while Manaswinee Hazarika and Nayeem Hussain finished runners-up.
In the age-category events, Vilasier Khate and Naomi Zhimomi won the Split Mixed Doubles 75+ title, defeating Abu Metha and Racheal Jones in the final. Abu Metha and Vikho Khate emerged champions in the Men’s Doubles 40+ category, while Lhouvi and Mongden were runners-up.

The Men’s Doubles 45+ title went to Imli Subong and Ringo Odyuo, who defeated Abu Metha and Rohan Abraham in the final.
In the Mixed Doubles 40+ category, Vikho Khate and Toshi clinched the title, with Kuchi and Naomi finishing runners-up.
The tournament also featured a gender-neutral “Champion of Champions” event, in which Aditya Singh emerged victorious.

Exhibition matches involving leading players were also organised during the tournament to promote the sport and provide spectators with an opportunity to watch top-level pickleball action.
The organisers said the inaugural event marked an important milestone in the growth of pickleball in Nagaland and the Northeast by providing a competitive platform while fostering greater participation and sportsmanship.
