DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 8 (MExN): Dimapur District Inter-Bible College Sports Fellowship 2nd choir competition was held on Saturday, October 8 at the IMC Hall. The programme had in attendance N. Thomas Ngullie, a former state minister and presently a member of general council (NIEPMD) Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, as the chief guest.
Five colleges took part in the competition. Withee Bible College emerged the eventual winners, while Discipleship Bible College came second. International Theological College and Seminary was placed third. The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs. 10000, Rs 7000 and International Theological College and Seminary Rs. 4000 respectively.
Earlier addressing the garthering, Ngullie urged the students to maintain an essence of originality while remaining local and the same time global in their approach. While urging them to become acceptable figures of the society, he told them to pursue with dedication and commitment their desired goals.
Other special features of the competition included presentation of choreograph by students of New Life Bible College and Mission India Bible College; and rendition of duets by students of Mission India Bible College and Timothy Theological Institute and College.
