Kohima, July 25 (MExN): The two-day Inter-School Athletic Meet organized by Kohima District Administration in collaboration with the District Sports Office, Kohima District Athletic Association, and District Hub for empowerment of women under “Beti Bachao BetiBachao” campaign concluded on the 21st of July. The Deputy Commissioner Shri. Shanavas C (IAS) in his closing ceremony speech encourage all the participants to strive for better in the field of sports and also commended the performance of the participants in this two-day event.
Nearly 300 female students from 33 private and government schools in Kohima participated in this two-day event at Indira Gandhi Stadium under this “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign also known as “Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child”. The campaign has been rolled out for the first time in Kohima District and the office of the Deputy Commissioner is the Nodal Agency for the campaign.
