Dimapur, August 30 (MExN): The Interaction Session on Right to Information for the Department of Underdeveloped Areas (DUDA) with the State Information Commission (SIC) was held on August 11 at 12 noon in the office chamber of the Director, DUDA.
The programme was chaired by T.C. Sangtam, Secretary & Appellate Authority, DUDA, who gave a presentation of the activities and objectives of the Department besides highlighting detail RTI cases so far entertained and complied since inception of the Department, stated a press note received here today.
The State Chief Information Commissioner, Lalhuma minutely explained his "Power Points" on RTI citing the practical problems and ground realities encountered by various departments while dealing with critical cases. He apprised the department AAs, PIOs, APIOs and officials to be sincere and careful in handling RTI issues. In the Interaction Session, all the AAs, PIOs and APIOs pointed out their doubts and problems which were all one by one clarified by the SIC, it stated.
The note also stated that the department conveyed its gratitude to the Chief Information Commissioner and his team members for their commitment and all out efforts in organizing this RTI Interaction Session for the Department.
It also mentioned that the State Chief Information Commissioner, Lalhuma along with his team members Kevineinuo, SIC, Bukchem Phom, SIC and W. Ezung, under secretary, State Information Commission, Nagaland, Kohima, attended the programme. All the Appellate Authorities, PIOs, APIOs and Senior Department Officials too attended this programme.
