IPM training at Tseminyu conducted

Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): The SDAO Tseminyu on August 12 organized a one day sub-division level Intergraded Pest Management (IPM) training at Town Hall Tseminyu at 10.00 am. All together 50 participants from 35 villages attended the training, informed a press release issued by Athinu Rengma, SDAO Tseminyu.
Resource person Teshenpfu AFA speaking on the topic ‘Importance of IPM’ Firstly, shared how pesticide effect to our body, through pesticide chemical like DDT powder, BHC, Aldrin and Gramaxone, causes Cancer, mental and illness, liver, kidney and blood, birth abnormal, brain and nervous system. He also shared about the principle of IPM and aim for IPM and major pest and defenders. M.N Sashi AO spoke on ‘Rodent Management’.
All the participants took part in the interaction sessions and many of their doubts were clarified. The participants also requested the programme organizer to have more of such programme again, so that it will help all the framers. Athinu Rengma, SDAO Tseminyu chaired the programme, invocation prayer by Anung Lemdur AO pastor, vote of thanks by Ronga Tep GB Tseminyu.
