Naga goalkeeper James Kithan has completed a move to Real Kashmir FC from Rajasthan United.
Founded in 2016, Real Kashmir Football Club, nicknamed the Snow Leopards or Sheeni She, is a professional football club based in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, competing in the I-League.
Having previously delivered successful stints at prominent Indian clubs including Churchill Brothers, Gokulam Kerala FC, Delhi FC, Mohammedan Sporting, and Rajasthan United, Kithanbrings extensive top-flight experience to the Kashmir-based club.
Kithan made his debut in the I-League with Goa’s Churchill Brothers in 2017. Over three seasons with the Red Machines, he quickly earned a reputation as one of the most reliable shot-stoppers coming out of Northeast India.
His career reached new heights during his tenures with Gokulam Kerala FC and Mohammedan Sporting. In the 2021–22 Season, he captured his first I-League championship with Gokulam Kerala FC. He then went on to anchor the squad at Mohammedan Sporting in the 2023–24 Season to secure his second I-League title. He joined Rajasthan United in 2024 and had since been part of the club’s goalkeeping setup.

Known for his aerial command, sharp reflexes, and composure under high pressure, Kithan promises to be a critical addition between the posts.Announcing the move on Wednesday, Real Kashmir FC’s wrote, “WELCOME, JAMES KITHAN. A new presence between the posts. We're delighted to welcome James Kithan to the Real Kashmir FC family as our goalkeeper for the new season. Welcome to the Snow Leopards, James.”
Informing that he would be joining the club on a one-season contract, Kithan shared that he was excited about the move.
“I feel happy and excited to join Real Kashmir, and I thank Real Kashmir for believing in me and trusting me,” he told The Morung Express following the announcement. “I can't wait to start the season and meet my new teammates,” Kithan added.
