JCC keeps tools down strike on hold; pen down strike to continue

Kohima, October 24 (MExN): The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) on IAS Induction, comprising CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF&ASA, has decided to put the proposed Tools Down Strike on hold following a meeting with the Chief Secretary of Nagaland.

In a circular issued by the JCC on October 24, it stated that the decision was taken “consequent upon the meeting with the Chief Secretary, Nagaland on his invitation and considering that the Cabinet would be taking a decision on the matter of selection of Non SCS officers into the IAS.”

“The Tools Down Strike scheduled to commence from the 27th October 2025 shall be kept on hold,” the JCC informed.

However, it clarified that the “ongoing Pen Down Strike shall continue till our demands are met.”

The JCC further requested the All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Association, All Nagaland Directorate & District Government Drivers’ Union, and the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Staff Employees Association to “keep on hold any preparations towards this Tools Down Strike until further instructions.”
