JD (U) Nagaland unit reorganised

Dimapur, March 12 (MExN): The Janata Dal (United) Nagaland unit has been reorganised with the “permission and approval” of the National party President and Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar.

Mention maybe made that during the Nagaland Assembly elections 2023, the JD (U) dissolved its Nagaland state committee on March 9, 2023, citing that Nagaland State President of the party, Senchumo NSN Lotha, has issued a letter of support to the Nagaland chief minister without consulting the central party.

In a press communiqué on Tuesday, lmsumongba Pongen, General Secretary, JD (U) Nagaland stated that “the reorganization includes an expanded team of dedicated party workers who will lead the party to new heights.” 

The new leadership team of the JD (U) Nagaland consists of Senchumo Lotha: President, Dr Shasinlo Magh: Vice President, Vipopal Kintso: Vice President, Imsumongba Pongen: General Secretary (Administration), Zukeya Woch: General Secretary (Organisation), S Abenthung Ngullie: Secretary, N Renberno Humtsoe: Secretary, Mhao Yanthan: General Secretary (Youth Wing), and Z Nlumsao Ngullie: Legal Advisor.

“The Party is confident that under the guidance of Nitish Kumar and the leadership of the new team, the JDU Party will continue to work towards the betterment of the people of Nagaland and the Nation as a whole,” Pongen stated. Additional appointments to key position within the party will be announced in the coming days, he added.
