DIMAPUR, AUGUST 6 (MExN): The Lotha Public Hoho (LPO) today termed the Kohima Lotha Hoho’s (KLH) response to the latter’s 15 days ultimatum as “propaganda to mislead the public.”
A press note from the LPO stated that the KLH “has no authority to issue press statements on the Lotha Hoho’s behalf” and questioned why it chose to speak out without ascertaining the actual sequence of events during the selection day.”
It alleged that the KLH “has been operating the remote control secretly to LH since 2014.” “Every bonafide Lotha is well aware of how Kyong Hoho was dislodged and became scapegoat under the master plan of KLH,” it added.
It advised the KLH not to be bipartisan and refrain from engaging in “double standard tactics to mislead innocent public and villages.”
It meanwhile refuted allegations made by the KLH against R Ezong, IAS (Retd) and former MLA, Sulanthung Humtsoe, terming it as “highly questionable.” “They never interrupted the house proceeding,” the LPO maintained and stated that the allegation was “totally baseless and mere propaganda.”
It further denounced a signature campaign launched by the Lotha Hoho after the 15 days ultimatum was served. “If the Lotha Hoho so desires to project people’s mandate, they should convene a general public meeting to gain people’s mandate instead of going around every village for unauthentic signature campaign,” it added.
The LPO further asserted that it would continue to confront the issue till the Lotha Hoho team relinquishes their offices “as the current team is not mandated and approved by the house during the selection day.”
