KOHIMA, JUNE 30 (MExN): The Kohima Electrical Division has urged consumers under its jurisdiction to avail the Nagaland Solar Mission, launched by the State Government in convergence with the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, for installation of residential rooftop solar (RTS) systems.
According to a press release issued by Executive Engineer, Electrical Division, Kohima, Er Shiludi Lkr, interested consumers have been advised to visit their respective Division or Sub-Division offices for information and guidance. They can also register through the National Portal at www.pmsuryaghar.gov.in.
The Department said the initiative offers several benefits, including generation of electricity for self-consumption, Central and State Government subsidies, free maintenance by vendors for five years, reduced electricity bills, access to easy bank loans and direct transfer of subsidies to beneficiaries' bank accounts.
The Department has encouraged eligible consumers to take advantage of the scheme to adopt clean and affordable solar energy.
