Kohima, March 23 (MExN): The Kohima Pickleball Classic Tournament 2026, powered by Ahibi Sports, concluded successfully at the Heritage Pickleball Arena, Old DC Bungalow, Officers Hill, Kohima on March 22.
Held over two days from March 21 to 22, the tournament, organised by the Nagaland Pickleball Association, witnessed participation from over 80 players across multiple categories, reflecting the growing popularity and competitive spirit of pickleball in Nagaland.
The event featured competitions in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Team Event and Veterans Doubles (Challengers), making it one of the most vibrant pickleball tournaments in the region.
Organisers said the tournament saw intense matches, with both emerging talents and experienced players competing at a high level. With a total prize pool of ₹1,00,000, the event provided a strong platform for athletes to showcase their skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.

A total of 22 teams participated in Mixed Doubles, 20 teams in Men’s Doubles, eight teams each in Women’s Doubles, Team Event and Veterans Doubles (Challengers).
In Mixed Doubles, Vilasier Khate and Manaseinee Hazarika emerged champions, while Anangsha Alomyan and David Murry finished runners-up. In Women’s Doubles, Manaseinee Hazarika and Anangsha Aloñ clinched the title, followed by Eyeni Yanthan and Chubasenla Aier.
In Men’s Doubles, Tonoto Ayemi and David Murry secured the top position, with Imsurem Longchar and Nzamo Kikon finishing as runners-up.
In the Team Event, The Home Court emerged winners, while The Rally Social Club secured the runner-up position.
In the Veterans Doubles (Challengers category), Abu Metha and Vikhozolie Khate won the title, while Rohan Abraham and Lhouvi Punyu finished as runners-up.
The tournament marked a significant step in promoting pickleball in the state, with enthusiastic participation and strong community support underscoring the sport’s rapid growth and potential in Nagaland.
