Mon, March 10 (MExN): The Konyak Union, Mon has expressed serious concern over the detection of six proxy candidates during the ongoing oral interview for the Nagaland Police recruitment process in Mon District, describing the incident as a threat to the integrity of merit-based selection.
KU President K Yamao Konyak and General Secretary Wango Konyak in a press release said the development has led to understandable concern among aspiring youth and undermines the dignity of the society.
The union discouraged practices such as proxy participation, cheating, or any other dishonest means, urging Konyak youths to remain sincere, disciplined, and committed to pursuing success through fair competition.
“With a large number of educated youths aspiring for employment opportunities, it is important that the recruitment process remains fair, transparent, and free from any form of malpractice,” the union stated.
The apex organization representing the Konyak community found it unfortunate that such concerns have arisen at a time when the government is making sincere efforts to ensure a transparent recruitment system across the state.
“Our forefathers have always emphasized the values of honesty, sincerity, and integrity, and it is important that the younger generation continues to uphold these principles,” it added.
The union appreciated the District Level Selection Committee (DLSC) Chairman, Secretary, and all officials under the SP Office, Mon, for their vigilance and commitment in maintaining fairness during the recruitment process.
It further appealed to the DLSC, Mon District, to continue exercising due diligence so that only deserving and qualified candidates are selected, which would uphold justice, public confidence, and strengthen the quality of personnel serving the state.
