Kiphire, April 18 (MExN): The Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting held on April 16 at the DPDB hall deferred discussion on land acquisition along National Highway-202 for a subsequent meeting.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Temsuwati Longkumer, reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting along with the Action Taken Report. During the deliberations, the need to intensify awareness programmes under the Department of Minority Affairs and the Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) was also highlighted.
The Power Department informed the house that installation of smart metering systems in government offices is underway under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and related programmes. Officials said the initiative is expected to improve billing efficiency and reduce transmission losses.
Members also felicitated outgoing officers, acknowledging their service and contributions.
