Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): The VII local board of administration meeting of Sainik School, Punglwa was held on February 14 at the School.
Maj Gen N George VSM, COS, HQ 3 Corps & Chairman and CM Chang, MP, Lok Sabha and senior member attended and took stock of functioning and the progress on various construction projects in the School. The meeting was attended by other members, Khrupi Sothu, Dy Secy (Sch Edn) and Nodal Officer, Er MZ Akho, EE, PWD(H), Edn Div, Sungtila Jamir, SDO (Civil), DC Peren Rep, Razouvotuo Chatsu, Parents’ Rep and in attendance, Col SK Rath, Col Edn, HQ 3 Corps, informed a press note.
It also said that the Local Board of Administration is the apex body to oversee the functioning and administration of the school. The board deliberated upon the issues pertaining to the infrastructure projects in progress, the steps for improvement of the academic performance of the cadets as well as the annual budget of the school. The principal briefed the board on the financial grants and unflinching support being received from the Government of Nagaland.
