
Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): The Linguistics Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) has strongly condemned the incident that took place at the Burma Camp traffic point on October 17, where a minority street vendor was assaulted and his food cart was willfully damaged.
In a press statement, the Forum termed the act as “intolerable” and said such violence against honest and hardworking citizens has no place in a just society.
The Chairman of the Forum expressed appreciation for the “prompt and effective action of the Dimapur Police in apprehending the culprits and upholding the rule of law.” The statement noted that the swift response of the police “reflects professionalism and dedication to maintaining public order.”
The Forum further urged all citizens to uphold peace, mutual respect, and harmony within the community. It also acknowledged and appreciated the “prompt support extended to the victims by local area heads.”
“Disputes must always be addressed through dialogue and lawful means. Let us stand united in fostering a society built on dignity, justice, and brotherhood relationship in between every community & citizens living in the State,” the statement added.
