Morning FC today downed Merhulietsa FC 2-1 in the 3rd match of the Game Week -1 of the ongoing Lobenkokba Memorial Morning Champions Cup 2026 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Bernard and Shilu netted a goal each for Morning FC in the 3rd and 43rd minute respectively.
Isak fetched a lone goal for Merhulietsa FC in the 12th minute.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Vanguard FC Old Boys defeated Red Warriors FC 10-2.
Hengwalo connected four goals for Vanguard FC while Anguzo netted two goals.
Benlo, Merang, Thanpenlo and Hethanglo also contributed a goal each for the team.
Ikato netted both the goals for Red Warriors FC.
