Painting competition on World Habitat Day
Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): All the principles/ headmasters of various High & Higher Secondary School, under DMC jurisdiction are hereby informed that in view of observing the World Habitat Day on October 3, 2011 it is organizing painting competition in its conference hall at 11:00 am. A press note issued by K.Keditsu, chief advisor, DMC stated that the theme of the painting would be “The cities & climate change”. Therefore, in this connection, all the respective School authorities are requested to sent two student from their School to take part in the said paining competition. All the participants shall be given certificates. The particulars of the participants are to be submitted with the DMC establishment branch during office hours on or before September 30, 2011. SBI Aghunato conducts recovery camp
Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): SBI Aghunato branch conducted a recovery camp was held at Aghunato auditorium on September 26. During the camp, block development officer, Tokiye block, Aghunato Hozheto Yeptho requested all the GBs, VDB secretaries and VCCs to cooperate with the bank for the upliftment of the branch and the general public. Almost all the beneficiaries and borrowers and village elders attended the camp which was chaired by SBI Aghunato branch manager UB Pujari.
Singing competition at Kiphire on Oct 3
Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): In commemoration of World Habitat Day, the Kiphire Town Council in collaboration with Eastern Explorers’ Kiphire is organizing inter ward and churches singing competition on October 3 at Kiphire. The competition is being organized to spread the message of clean environment and to foster the spirit of oneness in the district. In this regard, the organizers encouraged all the ward and churches to take part in the show. The participants must prepare 2 songs each of their own choice and can be accompany their song/s with or without sound track/keyboard/guitar or any other musical instrument etc. Certificates along with Keyboard (Yamaha), Import Hollow Guitar will be awarded to the winner, first runner up and 2nd runner up respectively. EGS Plantation drive held
Kohima, September 29 (MExN): The Eco Green Society (EGS) conducted plantation drive on 22 September in lerie Chazou and AG colony where around 150 saplings were planted and an equal number of saplings were distributed to five families. The EGS is positive that with their continued dedicated effort and public involvement, the saplings would grow to maturity and thanked assistant conservator, forest, Silviculture division, Kohima for providing the saplings to EGS.
NSS day celebrated at Peren
Dimapur, September 29 (MExN): Peren Government College NSS day was celebrated with the theme: “A day of Humanity Service” with orphans on September 24, under the guidance of Visiezolie Yashu programme officer. The volunteers conducted social work at orphanage premises. After the social work the volunteer had a short fellowship with inmates where the students gave a short speech of encouragement, presented some special numbers and a scripture portion was also read out by the volunteers. The day came into conclusion with the distribution of sweets and cloths and special refreshment provided by NSS unit, stated a press note.
