LONGLENG, OCTOBER 10 (MExN): The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB), Longleng, held its monthly meeting at the DPDB Hall on October 9. The meeting was chaired by MLA and DPDB Chairman, A. Pongshi Phom.

Addressing the members, Phom stressed the importance of government employees’ sincerity and diligence in contributing to the development of Longleng district. He urged officials to monitor their staff, ensure their presence at workplaces during office hours, and prioritize public welfare.

DC Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, welcomed new members, reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting, and highlighted the day’s agenda. The board agreed to forward the grant-in-aid proposal of Vision Vale School, Longleng, to the concerned department. It also approved forwarding a proposal for the creation of a Police Outpost at Yongnyah EAC Headquarters under Longleng district. The DC also briefed members on the upcoming visit of the Union Minister of State for Power & Renewable Energy and instructed departmental officers to be prepared with their respective activities.

Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department (WRD), Longleng Division, Sutemo Kikon, presented departmental initiatives across various villages through a PowerPoint presentation. The Public Health Engineering Department will present its activities in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the DC.
