Imphal,January 16 (NNN): A POCSO court in Manipur on Thursday sentenced a 52 year-old man to life imprisonment for attempting to murder after raping a 15-year-old girl in Manipur’s Senapati district. The convicted rapist is identified as Ashin alias Kashin alias Kashinba, of Noney district. He had committed the crime on August 1, 2017. Special Judge (POCSO), Senapati, A Noutuneshwari Devi pronounced the verdict sentencing the rapist to life imprisonment. The judge, while pronouncing the verdict, fined him Rs 2 lakh.
