Manipur's COVID-19 tally surged to 1,24,482 as the state reported 50 new infections on Sunday, one less than the previous day, a Health department bulletin said.
Three new fatalities pushed the COVID-19 death toll in the state to 1,949. The state registered four deaths on the previous day.
The state has 795 active COVID-19 cases currently, while 1,21,738 people have recovered from the disease, including 51 on Sunday, the bulletin said.
The COVID-19 recovery rate is 97.80 per cent and the fatality rate is 1.56 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 1,799 samples were tested in the state for COVID-19 taking the total number of such tests to 13,91,064.
The positivity rate of the day is 2.8%.
None of the three who succumbed to the viral infection in the last 24 hours had vaccinated against COVID-19. One each death was reported in Imphal East, Imphal West and Kangpokpi district, the Health department said.
Eight of the 16 districts of the state reported no new cases in the last 24 hours while six districts reported five and below the mark.
Imphal West reported the highest number of new cases with 22 while Imphal East reported 11 new cases.
A total of 20,56,474 beneficiaries have been administered COVID-19 vaccine so far, including 7,573 on Saturday.
Of these 12,60,966 were beneficiaries of the first dose and the remaining 7,95,508 second dose, it added.
