Kohima | September 7 : Kohima Town Inter ward Music Competition kick started this evening under the aegis of 9th Kohima Town A/C at State Academy hall Kohima with Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner Alemtemshi Jamir as the chief guest.
The additional chief secretary said that there many young artists who are exceptionally talented but do not take life more positive adding that modern times in Nagaland is church based thereby urged the musicians to sing for the people with positive thinking and promote life through music.
MLA, Dr. Nicky Kire in his introductory speech said that the objective of the event is to create more avenues to the youth through music competition. He said the following year will also include the mothers in the competition where it will in the form of own compositions.
Altogether 25 singers are taking part in the competition. The winner of the competition will also perform on 9th September during inter ward football match where prize distribution will also take place on the same day. The judges of the competition included Toshinaro, Lui Tzudir abnd Mele Pucho.
