Dimapur, September 14 (MExN):The Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency as a prelude to World Bamboo Day 2011 celebration conducted Mat Weaving Competition for Tuli Mat cluster on September 13 at Aitlenden community hall.
The chief guest for the occasion was SDO (Civil) Tuli Moatemsu sangtam, informed a press note.
The note stated that Kangtsung Village bagged the first position, Aitlenden got second and the third place went to Kangtsung Yimsen. Prize money and certificates will be given to the winners during the World Bamboo Day 2011 to be held at Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, Dimapur on September 18.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Alemla Aier NBM-IT, keynote address by M.Kichung Phom NBM-IT, vote of thanks by Amongla C NBM-IT and invocation was pronounced by pastor of Aitlenden. The main judge of the competition was Kenungoyi Thelou NBM-IT and Tongpang, the press note stated.
