Tuensang, June 21 (MExN): In view of pre-monsoon preparedness in Tuensang district, the EE PWD (NH), Imkongakum has stated that the department is ready with machineries in any case of road blockages during the rainy season.
Supplementing to the discussion, EE Irrigation Department, Chingmak Chang said that Phenjang Sector in Tuensang town which is marked as “red zone for landslide and occurrence of flood flash in downstream is a threat to the people.” The EE suggested for diversion of drainage from the town area.
The discussion was held during the Tuensang District Planning & Development Board meeting held under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman DBDP Tuensang, Imtichuba Chang at DC’s Conference Hall on June 21. On pre-monsoon preparedness, the Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa urged the heads of offices to participate in the mass social work on June 23, stated a DIPR report.
After reviewing the last month meeting minutes, the Board discussed on the agenda on setting up of helipad at Noksen town.
The house also discussed on Chief Minister’s Micro Finance Initiatives and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme. It forwarded to the concerned departments for creation of Police outpost at Ngoungchung, proposal for construction of new building and upgradation of Shrinagesh PHC Tuensang Village to CHC.
The members discussed on free-will contribution from heads of offices for the upcoming Dr. T. Ao Trophy to be held at Tuensang. The house recommended for the registration of Himjam Welfare Society, Tuensang.
