Dimapur-Kolkata flight combined for today

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The Station Manager Air India Ltd Dimapur has informed that due to operational reason AI 9702 for August 28 (DMU/CCU ATR flight) has been combined with AI 709 and revised departure time of AI 709 now stands 1305 hrs for Calcutta. All joining passenger of AI 9702 &   AI 709 are requested to report for check-in at Dimapur Airport at 1135 hrs.

NSCN/GPRN (K) clarifies

Dimapur, August 27 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (K) through its MIP has clarified the news report published in the local dailies on August 27 issued by Kohima police, wherein one Jekivi Awomi, son of Khuhozu of Rotomi village was alleged to be a member of NSCN (K). Therefore in this connection, the NSCN (K) hereby clarify that the said person is not a member of NSCN (K). Moreover he has no involvement in any kind of extortion with its cadres. The allegation made by Kohima police is purely baseless and fictitious. Moreover, after proper verification the NSCN authority has come to learn that the relatives of the victim that the said person is just a mere taxi driver and he is plying a taxi for town trip in and around Kohima town. He regularly stays in the taxi parking lot and waits for passengers for hire in order to earn for living and for which he is not a member of any underground outfit. The allegation made by Kohima police is totally false and untrue. In fact it is just an intention to victimize innocent public by charging with an extortion case without any valid reasons. The NSCN also informed the police authority not to mislead the general public by publishing such kind of false statements to tarnish the good image of NSCN/GPRN in the days to come and the NSCN would like to inform the public not to be confused with such statement issued by the law enforcing agencies which is really unacceptable in Naga society.

Anchang Range, Konyak Region pledge support

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 27 (MExN): The Anchang Range, GPRN/NSCN National workers, both military wing and civil administration held a meeting on August 24 and unanimously resolved to stand and support the GPRN/NSCN under the dynamic leadership of ‘gen. (Retd)’ Khole Konyak and N. Kitovi Zhimomi.  The meeting was held at Longchang village under Aboi sub-division. The meeting was chaired by Toklang Konyak, former chairman  of Konyak Region and attended by entire civil worker and military officers led by ‘lt. col.’ Longba, ‘maj’ Langpai, ‘maj’ Esha etc. More than 86 National workers from 18 villages of Angchang Range, Konyak Region, participated in the meeting, informed the MIP, GPRN/NSCN in a press note.The officers who attended the meeting were ‘lt. col’ Longba, ‘maj’ Langpai, ‘maj’ Esha, ‘captain’ Hangba, ‘captain’ Hatau, ‘captain’ Langkhu, ‘captain’ Heangba, ‘captain’ Keyang, ‘captain’ Langpai, ‘captain’ Ponglang, ‘captain’ Mongnyei,  ‘capt (Retd)’ Khambu Tatar, ‘lt’ Laiwang, ‘lt’ Shanglao, ‘lt’ Thelam, ‘lt’ Amoi, ‘lt’ Photau and ‘lt’ Wangba.
