Nuheymong Yimchunger, President, Eastern Naga Students’ Federation was felicitated at his native Mimi village on October 7.

Mimi, October 8 (MExN): A felicitation programme for Nuheymong Yimchunger, President, Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF), was held at his native Mimi village on October 7.
Nuheymong is the first from the Yimkhiung Naga community to hold the post of ENSF President.
The event was organised by eight villages in Mimi circle under Pungro sub-division.
Expressing gratitude to the people, Nuheymong said becoming the president is the result of the people’s unceasing prayer support and dedication.
He also stressed on the importance of education and urged parents to prioritize it. The student leader pointed out the need for students to seriously pursue academics and compete in civil service examination, citing the lack of government officials in the eight villages.
Apong, former president Mimi Students Union, said Nuheymong began his career as a student leader after being inducted as an executive in the Mimi Students’ Union in 2010.
Saying that the Eastern Nagas students are now being headed by a capable and sincere leader today, he said Nuheymong setting of precedents is worth emulating by the present and the future generations.
Advisor Mimi Circle Joint Council Azho Paul, President K/H Joint Council P Kumtsu, Executive Chairman Yimkhiung Tribal Council, Y Makezho also addressed the gathering.
Women department Mimi village presented a special song, Thsankiu, pastor KPF pronounced invocation, Throngmuli, President Mimi Circle Joint Council, Thsankiu, General Secretary MCJC chaired the programme and Henyamong, exe-chairman MCJC said word of gratitude.
