Kohima, September 27 (MExN): MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero along with ADC Pfutsero Mhalo Humtsoe, Executive Engineer Daniel and JEs of PWD (Roads and Bridges) Pfutsero sub-Division visited the landslide site at Pfutsero-Tadubi Inter State Connectivity (ISC) at 5.9 km on September 27.
This portion of the road was completely cut off due to incessant rains.
The unfavourable weather condition was a hindrance for the debris to be cleared as it posed dam4age possibilities on the alternate road below. This road serves as an important route for Phek District and various other Districts in the state.
Sources also mentioned that this ISC road was badly damaged making it not pliable for small vehicles by the heavily loaded vehicles which were diverted from Kohima to Manipur State using this route during the entire period when the National Highway between Phesama and Mao gate was blocked for heavy vehicles due to landslides below Kisama.
