Mokokchung, February 18 (DIPR): Model Dairy Farm run by Earth Farmers Society of Chuchuyimpang village with assistance from Nagaland State Dairy Cooperative Federation (NSDCF) was inaugurated on February 16. The model farm to be jointly operated by Earth Farmers Society and the NSDCF under public private partnership (PPP) was formerly inaugurated by Senior Advisor Confederation of Indian Industry, M. Bendangnukshi Longkumer in presence of Project Director NSDCF Alhoyokha, Sr. officials from Vety. &AH, Chuchuyimpang Village Council members and Earth Farmers. In his inaugural speech, Bendangnukshi Lonkumer urged the Earth Farmers Society to make the Model Dairy Farm worthy of its name in the district.
Stating that the department concerned has provided all its needs in the principle of PPP, Longkumer reminded the society to do the rest to make their farm feasible and viable. Referring to project Director NSDCF views on development of Diary Farming in Mokokchung district, Bendangnukshi expressed gratitude for having confidence to the people of Mokokchung district. He also assured of all possible help towards Model Diary Farm.
The Project Director in his speech encouraged the society to make the farm as one of the major supplier of milk to milk chilling plant Mokokchung. The Earth Farmers Society earlier thanked the NSDCF and the Veterinary department for having confidence and selecting their farm as a model farm in the district. They also expressed appreciation to Minister for Vety. & AH T.R. Zeliang, Commissioner & Secretary Thangi Manen and the Director for providing the entire farm requirements.
