Mother's Day was celebrated today across Kohima by holding special service in the respective churches.
Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family or individual, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.
The occasion acknowledges their role in nurturing children and supporting loved ones, often placing others' needs before their own.
In Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima, Rev. Vezopa Rhakho, pastor CBCK delivered a message on “Chosen and Called: Mothers with a purpose” in the morning service.
The church offered gift to all mothers in appreciation of their love, care and building a compassionate society.
Men Ministry and CBCK youth honoured the mothers through message in songs.
Earlier, a pastoral prayer was led by Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh.
