MSU appeals for immediate revocation of transfer of SDO Tadubi

Dimapur, October 10 (MExN): The Mao Students’ Union (MSU) has made an appeal to the Chief Secretary, government of Manipur for immediate revocation for the transfer of SDO (Mao-Maram Block, Tadubi. The union made the appeal on behalf of the public under Mao-Maram Block, Tadubi.
The letter appended by Abel B, president of Mao Students’ Union and K. Matia, Mao Naga Women Welfare Association stated that the present SDO of Tadubui Armstrong Panmei, IAS is a sincere and committed officer who has developed very good rapport and trust of the people. The union said that there has been rampant and frequent transfer / posting of SDOs, Tadubi even over the last one year or so there has been four or five SDOs transfer and posting. And, this unreasonable frequent transfer and posting has caused immense confusion, disruption and dislocation hampering all kinds of developmental activities etc in the sub-division.
The union felt that many sincere and genuine officers are unable to perform any meaningful and purposeful developmental activities in the sub-division because of this. It also pointed out that at present there is election code of conduct for the so called ADC election since August 13, 2011 and this transfer/ posting is against the election code of the conduct.   “We are constrained to state that if our sincere appeal and representation is unheeded, we will be compelled to start various form of action,” warned MSU.
