MTC holds felicitation prog in honour of K Khamba Maram

Senapati, December 17 (MExN): Maram-Thangal Council (MTC) in collaboration with Maram Union, Thangal Union and Maram Thangal Region organized a felicitation programme in honour of K Khamba Maram who was recently inducted as member of Collective Leadership, NSCN/GPRN at Maram Centre Local Ground on December 16.

According to a press release, MTC, President, John expressed that Khamba had sacrificed his comfort lives with family and villagers in his service for Naga Nation and today he is rewarded with this prestigious position for his endurance.

Thangal Union, President, YK Kaping said that there may be certain misunderstandings in the affairs of every Organizations and Society but it is reconciliation that bridges the gap and strengthen an Organization, expressing confidence that through the elevation of K Khamba, it will weave more unity between Maram and Thangal communities both at the level of Naga Government Administration and CSOs. In his solidarity greetings, Maram Union, General Secretary, Pungdi P Celestine conveyed that God has been kind to the communities of Maram and Thangal not only in providing the beautiful landscapes and its vast resources, cultures and traditions but Almighty God has continue to sustain even the present generations for prosperity.

In his speech, K Khamba Maram said he seeks people's cooperation so that his position truly serves the purpose of Naga Nation.

Act of Blessing was done by Rev Cheijinba Rakhangmi, Executive Secretary TNBA. Kilonser Pungdi Jobson, caretaker EO, Maram Thangal Region proposed vote of thanks. Strering Executive Member NSCN/GPRN, Tuba also spoke on the occasion. Other public leaders who attended the programme included former Minister Ngajokpa Francis; former Dy. Speaker K Raina: Robert Maram, Working President NPF/MSU; Former ADC Members- A Rang, Thomas Luba, LR John. Maram Students' Union, Thangal Students' Union and different CSOs attended the programme.
