Nagaland begins licensing homoeopathy pharmacies

KOHIMA, JUNE 29 (MExN): The Ayush Drug Control under the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland, has announced the commencement of the issuance of drug licences for homoeopathy pharmacies and homoeopathy drug distributors in the state.

In a press release, Deputy Director (AYUSH) Dr T Bendangtula informed that the licensing process has been initiated as part of the regulatory framework governing the sale and distribution of homoeopathic medicines in Nagaland.

The department stated that the notification is of particular importance to existing and prospective homoeopathy pharmacies, wholesalers, distributors and stockists operating in the state.

It urged all concerned stakeholders to comply with the licensing requirements and obtain the necessary approvals in accordance with the applicable regulations.

"The commencement of the issuance of drug licences for homoeopathy pharmacies and homoeopathy drug distributors is intended to strengthen regulatory oversight and ensure compliance with the prescribed norms," the release stated.

The Directorate also requested wide public dissemination of the information to create awareness among stakeholders regarding the licensing requirement.
