The Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports (DYRS), Nagaland today conducted a state level youth festival 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the theme “Viksit Bharat @2047 and The role of the Greater Economy.”
Gracing the valedictory programme, S.Keoshu Yimkhiung, advisor Youth Resources & Sports (DYRS), Nagaland stated that the youth festival witnessed the energy, creativity, and unity of the young people in action.
“This festival has been more than a celebration. It has been a reaffirmation of the power of youth in shaping our society and our future,” he said.
This year's theme, "Viksit Bharat @ 2047” carries a vision of India's journey towards becoming a developed nation by the centenary of our independence, Keoshu said.
Stating that the dream of a Viksit Bharat cannot be realized without the active contribution of the youth, he said “I believe Nagaland's young generation is well prepared to be part of this transformation.”
Maintaining that the creator economy has emerged as a powerful force globally, the Advisor said “It is not limited to entertainment or digital media. It embraces art, culture, music, entrepreneurship, literature, sports, technology, and innovation.”
“In a world connected through digital platforms, our young creators have the opportunity to tell our stories, showcase our rich Naga traditions, and innovate solutions that can inspire not just our state, but the entire nation and beyond,” he said.
The creator economy offers livelihood opportunities, empowers individuals to become entrepreneurs, and nurtures originality and talent. It thrives on creativity, authenticity, and connectivity-values that resonate deeply with our youth, he said adding that “If harnessed with the right guidance and support, it can be a major driver of employment, cultural preservation and national progress.”
He also challenged the youth to take this platform (state level youth festival) as the beginning of new collaborations, new friendships, and new journeys.
“Let us commit ourselves to building a Nagaland and a Bharat that is progressive, inclusive, and forward-looking,” Keoshu said.
He told the youth that the spirit, discipline, and creativity they have shown in this festival must continue to grow in their communities, institutions and in professional lives.
“Believe in yourself, dream big, and never underestimate the power of your ideas and creativity to change the world,” he told the youth.
The Advisor gave away prize to the winners along with DYRS director Kethosituo Sekhose and OSD- Sports (DYRS) Roko Angami.
