Nagaland fire services saved Rs 42.37 crore in 2025

Nagaland Fire & Emergency Services department has responded to a total of 282 Fire calls of various categories and saved properties worth Rs 42.37 crore during the period January-October 2025 in Nagaland.

This was stated in the Annual Administrative Report 2025-26 of the Home Department, tabled in the 8th Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) in Kohima on Tuesday.

During the year 2025-26, the Department has successfully completed construction & Installation of fire fighting systems in 3 designated Helipads in the State located in Kohima, Zunheboto and Chümoukedima Districts under SASCI.

The Department has completed construction of infrastructure for the 22nd Fire Station at the newly created district Tseminyu.

The Department is coming up with three new Fire Stations at Dimapur, Bhandari and Pungro and a  Training Centre at Chiechama, Kohima under 15 Finance Commission, all of which are expected to be completed by March 2026, the report stated.
