KOHIMA, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla extended his greetings on Armed Forces Flag Day, observed on December 7 to honour martyrs and the armed forces personnel serving the nation.
The Governor paid tribute to the gallant heroes who laid down their lives in service of the motherland and stressed the duty of citizens to express deep admiration for the martyrs and injured personnel. He also acknowledged the sacrifices made by their families, calling them an integral part of the nation’s defence.
Bhalla appealed to the public to contribute generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, which supports serving defence personnel, battle casualties, war widows, widows, and aids in the resettlement of ex-servicemen and their dependents.
He expressed hope that the spirit of patriotism and gratitude would inspire all as they remember and honour the Armed Forces.
