Kohima, October 23 (MExN): The Joint Coordination Committee (JCC), comprising CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF&ASA, today announced that it will intensify the ongoing ‘Pen Down Strike and Tools Down Strike’ demanding transparency and merit in the recent IAS induction process form October 27.

The decision follows a meeting held on October 19 with associations including the All Nagaland Government Drivers’ Association, Nagaland Civil Secretariat Drivers’ Association, All Nagaland Directorate & District Government Drivers’ Union, and the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Staff Employees Association.

In a circular issued today, the JCC stated that the strike has entered its tenth day with no indication of urgency or action from the Government.

The committee alleged that the IAS induction process has been “manipulated” to favour certain candidates, sidelining merit and using procedural errors and bureaucracy as scapegoats.

The JCC reiterated its demand for the reinstatement of the March 10, 2025, vacancy circular and the withdrawal of the Non-NPSC/backdoor candidate from the panel list.

Until these demands are met, the committee has cautioned that its democratic agitation will continue to escalate in phased intensification.

The JCC comprised of Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Association (CANSSEA), Federation of Nagaland State Engineering Service Association (FONSESA), Nagaland Finance & Accounts Services Association (NF&ASA), Nagaland In-Service Doctors Association (NIDA), and Nagaland Secretariat Service Association (NSSA).
