Nagaland: Most COVID-19 samples collected from Dimapur, Kohima

Over 95% of the 537 suspected COVID-19 samples sent out for testing by Nagaland Government have been from Dimapur and Kohima as of April 21.
With 419 samples, Dimapur district alone constitutes 78.02% of the samples according to State’s government data. There were 93 suspected or 17.31% of the total samples from Kohima till April 21.
According to an analysis of district-wise data compiled by covid19.nagaland.gov.in for all 11 districts, no samples of suspect cases were sent out from Kiphire, Longleng, Tuensang and Zunheboto districts. (See table).
There were 11 in Peren, 4 in Mon, 2 in Mokokchung and 7 in Wokha. One sample was from Phek.
Officially, Nagaland has no COVID-19 case so far as the “one positive case of Nagaland has been added to the Assam State tally as sampling was done in Assam.”
Quarantine and isolation status
As the district with highest suspected samples, the maximum numbers of persons in ‘facility quarantine’ were also from Dimapur.
Out of state’s total of 128 persons in ‘facility quarantine’, 108 (84.37%) were in Dimapur district.
The rest were in Peren – 9; 4 Wokha – 4; 2 in Tuensang and 5 in Mokokchung.
The numbers in rest of the districts remain at zero.
Incidental, Zunheboto had zero suspected case and no people in ‘facility quarantine,’ the highest number of persons placed under home quarantine were from the district.
As the data, out of total 570 people under home quarantine, 245 were from the Zunheboto. It was followed by Kiphire with 72 and 71 in Dimapur.
No person was under home quarantine in Phek District.
According to the data, no person has been placed under isolation in the state.
