CNC informs members of NSCN (IM) setups

Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): The Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) has informed all the members in the NSCN (IM) set-ups (both Civil and Military) “to organize National fasting and prayer service on August 11, at their respective headquarters for the ongoing Indo-Naga Peace Negotiation. This was informed in a press release issued by the General Secretary CNC Rev SeksimKasar. It stated that the prayer points shall be focused on the following: The on-going Indo-Naga peace process; the leadership of India and Nagalim; NSCN and the people and Self examination and reaffirmation to the calling. “All the NSCN members are expected to participate in this prayer programme as a sign of obeisance to the Lord and to the Nation, it informed. It further requested the Chaplains, Pastors, CAOs/Caretakers and Commanders of Brigades, Battalions, Regions and Units to take the utmost importance to this information and “perform their duty as an obligation.”

 


BJP Kohima district combined membership drive today

Kohima, August 6 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kohima District is conducting a membership drive in Kohima town on August 7, today starting from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at 3 locations namely:PHQ Junction; Old NST Main town and High School Junction. This was informed in a joint press release issued by its Kohima District President and its State VP & Kohima District incharge. The BJP Nagaland further welcomed “any bonafide Indian Citizens to come and get themselves registered as primary members of the World’s largest Political Party, from any of the mentioned location.” 

 

DEO Kohima informs on teachers’ day tokens and car flags 

Kohima, August 6 (MExN): The District Education officer (DEO), Kohima Y Mary Zhimomi has informed all heads of institutions (both government and private), under the jurisdiction of the DEO Kohima to collect “teachers’ day tokens and car flags” from the DEO, Kohima during office hour. The DEO, Kohima has also informed that the tokens shall be at Rs 5 per students and car flags at Rs 20. “Sale of these flags shall be restricted within the school jurisdiction only after August 26,”she informed. She further informed that the fund from collection of teachers day tokens/car flags should be submitted to the DEO Kohima on or before September 10,for onwards submitting to the higher authority. All schools under DE Kohima are directed to compulsorily collect according to the enrolment of students and staff for their schools.

 

Mass social work in Peren

Peren, August 6 (MExN): DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier has notified a mass social work on August 9 at Peren district, in view of ensuing the Independence Day celebration on August 15. “All Heads of Offices under Peren District have been directed to ensure strict compliance and attendance of all staff. All the Departments have also been requested to mobilize available resources like machineries, tools and implements at their disposal and also arrange refreshments for their respective Department on the said date.”
