NDPP 6th general convention in Kohima

Kohima, October 17 (MExN): The 6th General Convention of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) will take place on October 18 at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima at 11:00 AM. Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio will address the convention while NDPP president Chingwang Konyak will deliver presidential address. The programme will be chaired by NDPP secretary general Abu Metha while welcome address will be delivered by Rural Development minister Metsubo Jamir. Short speeches will be delivered by Vikali Zhimomi, President, Women organization, Imchatoba Imchen, President, Youth Organization, Y. Vikheho Swu, President, Agri & Allied Organization, H. Shamlau Konyak, President, Mon Region, Repameren, President, Mokokchung Region, Khehoshe H. Yeptho, President, Zunheboto Region and Vihoshe Awomi, President, Dimapur Region.

NPF calls emergency CEC meeting

Kohima, October 17 (MExN):  The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has called an emergency meeting of its Central Executive Council (CEC) on October 18 at the party’s Central Office in Kohima. According to a notification issued by the Secretary General of the NPF, Achumbèmo Kikon, the meeting has been convened under Clause 10 of Article V, read with Article IV, Clause 3(c)(ii) of the party’s Constitution. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM on Saturday. All members of the Central Executive Council have been directed to attend the meeting without fail.
