The Nagaland Police recruitment process for 1176 Constable (General Duty) posts continues to see a strong response, with over 9471 candidates registered on the dedicated portal as of 5PM, October 12.

Out of these, 7987 candidates have paid the required Rs 300 examination fee, confirming their applications, the Nagaland Police updated.
The police department, however, noted that a significant number of registered candidates (1484) have yet to make the payment.

It has urged those intending to appear for the recruitment to complete the fee payment before the deadline on November 7, 2025, to ensure eligibility for the examination.

The online application process opened on dedicated portal (https://nagalandpolicerecruitment.in) at 12 noon on October 6 and will remain active until 3 PM on November 7.

According to the recruitment advertisement issued by the Office of the Director General of Police (DGP) on September 30, the selection will be conducted through open rallies held simultaneously across all district headquarters by the Departmental Recruitment Board (DRB) and the respective District Screening Committees (DSC).

Candidates declared medically fit and who clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will then appear for a written examination. A merit list will be prepared based on the PET and written test results, following which candidates will be called for a final interview at a ratio of 1:3 (one post for every three shortlisted candidates).

The Nagaland Police has clarified that applications can be submitted only through the official registration portal, and no physical forms will be issued from Police Headquarters or the offices of the Commissioner of Police/Superintendents of Police.

The eligibility criteria specify an age range of 18–38 years as of the date of the advertisement, with relaxations applicable for government employees as per existing rules.

The minimum educational qualification required is Class 6 pass for Backward Tribes and Class 8 pass for other Indigenous Naga Tribes.

For queries or assistance, candidates can contact the Nagaland Police Recruitment Cell, PHQ, at 0370-2240026/2240027 during office hours (10 AM to 3 PM). The registration portal also includes a comprehensive tutorial guide detailing the recruitment process, application steps, and related instructions.
