Dimapur, May 26 (MExN): Nagaland Rural Bank (NRB), Dimapur Branch, organised a Financial Literacy Camp at Imkonglenden Colony, Dimapur, on May 26 to create awareness on financial inclusion, banking services, and government welfare schemes.
During the camp, the Branch Manager of NRB Dimapur Branch delivered a presentation on financial literacy covering the importance of savings, banking services, loans and government schemes, social security schemes, digital banking, insurance schemes such as PMJJBY and PMSBY, and the Atal Pension Yojana.
Interactive sessions and experience-sharing by Self Help Group (SHG) members were also held during the programme. Account opening forms were distributed to participants.
In a press release, the NRB informed that the camp was organised under the month-long national celebration “Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026,” being observed from May 10 to June 9 to honour the contributions and empowerment of tribal communities.
The programme was organised by the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC) in association with Nagaland Rural Bank, with support from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
