Nagaland sets up relief helpdesks

DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): In response to extreme weather conditions triggering widespread landslides, severe flash floods, and major disruptions to road and transport networks across Nagaland, the state government has activated emergency helpdesks for coordinated relief operations.

Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Sentiwapang Aier, has notified that many families have been rendered homeless and are in urgent need of shelter and assistance. 

To streamline aid from both government and private agencies, the public has been asked to reach out to L Jonjibemo Odyou, Assistant Manager (Relief, Recovery, and Mitigation) at the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home department, via mobile 8258896057 or email jonji2002@yahoo.co.in, and to the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) helpdesk at 0370-2270129 or 0370-2270130, or email seoc.nsdma@gmail.com.
