Nagaland state Taekwondo championship underway

The 32nd edition of Nagaland state taekwondo championship got underway here today at Indira Gandhi Stadium under the aegis of Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA).


Ten teams from Dimapur, Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire, Longleng, Peren, Kohima, Phek including Department of YRS Academy and Police department are taking part in this two day long meet in different weight category of men and women for senior, junior, cadet, and sub-junior division.


On day one, Kohima lead the medal tally with 21 medals (8 gold, 8 silver and five bronze) followed by Dimapur with 20 medals (8 gold, 9 silver and 3 bronze) and  Phek and YRS with 15 medals each. 


The two day long meet will conclude on August 30.
