Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): The Transmission Division Dimapur has announced a total shutdown of power in several areas across Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Peren and Niuland districts from October 26 to November 4, to facilitate vegetation clearance for 66 kV transmission lines.
In a notice, the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division Dimapur, said the exercise is necessitated with an aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply.
As per the schedule, the 66kV Sovima-Chümoukedima T/L (LILO) will be shut from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM on October 26, affecting Chümoukedima district.
The 66kV Ganeshnagar T/L will be shut from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on October 27 and 28, affecting parts of Chümoukedima and Peren districts.
The 66kV Dairy Farm-Nito Farm TL (LILO) will be shut from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on October 30 and 31, affecting Niuland district.
The 66kV Nagarjan to Zoological Park area (composite line) will be shut from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM from November 2 to November 4, affecting parts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Peren districts.
The department has appealed to the public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
