Nagaland to host maiden Pickleball Masters from July 24

Dimapur, July 23 (MExN): The inaugural Nagaland Pickleball Masters 2026 will be held from July 24 to 26 at The Fitness House, with a prize pool of Rs 3 lakh and participation from players across Nagaland and other parts of the country. 

Organised by the Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA) and presented by Niathu Group in association with The Fitness House, the tournament aims to promote pickleball in the state while encouraging greater participation in the rapidly growing sport.

The competition will begin at 9 am on July 24, while the opening ceremony is scheduled for 4 pm the same day. 

According to the organisers, several of India’s leading pickleball players are expected to participate in the tournament, which will feature competitions in Men’s Doubles Open, Women’s Doubles Open, Mixed Doubles Open, Men’s Doubles 40+, Men’s Doubles 45+, Mixed Doubles 40+, Split Mixed Doubles 75+, and Champion of Champions categories.

Nagaland Minister for Public Works Department (Housing and Mechanical Engineering) Bashangmongba Chang will attend the opening ceremony as the chief guest.

Besides the competition, the organisers have planned exhibition matches, fan engagement activities, raffle draws, premium hospitality and other events to promote the sport at both grassroots and competitive levels.

The NPA thanked its partners and sponsors for supporting the event, including title sponsor Niathu Group, associate partners The Fitness House and CASE Construction, tech partner FLEG, beverage partner CHIA, and sponsors Mahindra BharatBenz and Aerobio.

The association has invited sports enthusiasts, media representatives and the public to attend the three-day tournament.
