Nagaland trains operators for Child Aadhaar (0-5) registration

Kohima, April 21 (MExN): The Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Nagaland conducted training for Aadhaar Operators on Aadhaar Registration for Children (0-5 year) at the conference hall, Directorate, Kohima on April 21.

Addressing the inaugural session, Director, Economics & Statistics, Neidilhou Keditsu highlighted the importance of the Department’s role in streamlining birth registration by integrating Aadhaar enrolment for children in the age group of 0-5 years. Keditsu urged the Aadhaar operators to ensure the successful implementation of Birth Registration Based on Aadhaar Enrolment initiative, stated a DIPR report. 

The training programme was chaired by Nzanbemo Kithan, Economics & Statistics Officer and Technical hands-on training session was conducted by Telalou Mero, Economics & Statistics Officer and Achumi Odyuo, Inspector of Statistics. 

Aadhaar Registration for Children (0-5 year) is currently operational in the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Kohima, Nagaland. To extend the reach of this service, Aaadhaar Registration for Children (0-5 year) will be made available in all the District Economics & Statistics offices across the State. The required documents for this service are the digitized birth certificate of the child and Aadhaar number of a parent.

The Department has encouraged the public to come forward and register their children’s Aadhaar at the district offices as well as at the Directorate.
