Nagaland Women’s U-23 team beat Meghalaya

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 3 (MExN): Nagaland beat Meghalaya by 68 runs today at the Women’s under-23 One Day Trophy in Cuttack. 

 


Put into bat first, Nagaland scored 201 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. Tulika with 41 runs was Nagaland’s top scorer followed by Munia and Ayantika with 29 runs each and Ananya with 28 runs. 

 


Deiphi and Sandria took 2 wickets each for Meghalaya while Riti took one wicket. 

 


In the second innings, Nagaland managed to bowl out Meghalaya giving away only 133 runs in 42.1 overs. 
L Tamang with 58 runs was Meghalaya’s top scorer. 

 


Sariba was Nagaland’s highest taker with 3 wickets; followed by Trishna with 2 wickets. Merensola, Ananya and Ayantika also bagged one wicket each. 

 


After 5 matches the Nagaland team stands at the top of the 10 team Plate group with 5 more matches to go.
