Kohima, September 22 (MExN): The Nagaland Bar Association (NBA) has resolved to disengage from all court proceedings on September 25 as a further expression of protest against the State Government’s continued inaction over its demand for the “resignation of the incumbent Advocate General.”
In a resolution adopted by the association, the NBA said that “considering the inaction of the Government in securing the resignation of the incumbent Advocate General, as a further expression of protest, the Nagaland Bar Association shall disengage from all Court proceedings on 25.09.2026.”
On that day, all members of the Bar in the District Courts have been requested to remain present in their respective courts, but without wearing coats and bands.
The association also resolved that further action shall be taken thereafter, as the circumstances may so require.
