DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): A ‘Clean Environment Campaign’ for New Naga Cemetery, Zani Village was conducted on April 1. The initiative was carried out under Thejangullie Kire, Joint Secretary and Convener of Cemetery Management Committee and NCD office bearers, informed a press release from the NCD. Thick bushes were cleared and all the faded wreaths were gathered and burnt, it informed. “This cleanliness campaign is initiated as many families do traditionally visit the tombs of their beloved ones during holy week of Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The NCD Cemetery Management Committee has done only general cleaning up of the cemetery not the tombs individually. Therefore, concerned families are requested to clean up the tombs of their beloved on their visit,” it added.
