Shillong, September 16 (NNN): A One Day 2nd Regional Conference of chairpersons and members State Public Service Commissions, North East Region was held at Orchid Lake Resort, Umiam in Meghalaya today. Speaking on the occasion Meghalaya Chief Secretary W. M. S. Pariat, said that the Regional Conference provide a platform for the Members of the State Public Service Commissions to discuss the problems being faced by the respective Commission and sharing their experiences to enable the Commission to come up with a better solution to handle their responsibilities effectively.
Pariat also suggests the Commissions to adopt the modern technology in their functioning for faster expediting of recruitment process. The day long programme includes presentation on best practices adopted by various Public Service Commission, Uniform syllabus for State Civil Services Examination, Departmental Promotion Committee and others.
