
Dimapur, August 31 (MExN): All those electrical registered contractors who are yet to collect their respective licenses are reminded for the final time that they may do so from union’s head office on any working days during office hours from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm opposite Power House, Chandmari, Kohima till September 30, 2011. A press note issued by Vizovolie Nyekha, general secretary, Nagaland Electrical Contractor’ Union informed that after the final date no licenses will be issued and accordingly all divisions would be informed that no works would be given to these firms whatever may be the case.
NECU further stated that it has also been detected that some new registered workers are giving liberty to their supervisors to take up electrical work on their own which is contradicting the working system and procedure. The note also mentioned that the Union executive had also reaffirmed that giving power of attorney/leasing out of writing pad if detected, the case would be forwarded to Chief Electrical Inspector (CEI) for cancellation. It further reminded other departments to strictly adhere to the order given by CEI while allotting electrical works based on class system i.e single phase (230 volts) for Class II & Three Phase (650 Volts & above) for class I contractors and also insist for the ID card of contractor issued by CEI’s office in order to avoid any unwanted situation that may arise later.
